Freddy Carr Freddy Carr is the host of American Country Gold, and he is a true fan of the Country Classics just as you are. In fact, his career as a disc jockey, which began in 1957, quite naturally segued into a recording and television career of his own, resulting in a personal friendship with many other artists. Having been closely associated with the music business for over half a century, Freddy has an extensive knowledge of the industry.
